What is an Alumni Program?

At The District Recovery Community, we understand the importance of setting our clients up for long-term success with men’s addiction treatment programs in California. Competent discharge planning, follow up calls, and extended support after treatment is something that makes us stand out from other programs. By placing attention on our alumni, we give clients who graduated from our program the opportunity to still feel connected and supported as they reintegrate into society sober. 

No matter what, we ensure that our clients know they can reach out to us and that we are here to help. We recognize that clients may struggle even after treatment, as they are faced with real-world situations and triggers. It is for this reason that the support offered at TDRC isn’t something that expires; we are family and The District Recovery’s leadership staff is always willing to help a client in need, current or past. Given our commitment to our clients, Alumni Events in Orange County, CA help us get together and stay current in the lives of our alumni, so it is something we plan for every 6-8 weeks. Having Alumni events more frequently as opposed to a few times a year gives our current and past clients something to plan and look forward to, all while being able to connect with like-minded people. 

We invite our alumni to come back and share their experience, strength and hope with our current clients. This is powerful because it inspires current clients and shows them that recovery is real and it is theirs if they choose to do the work. These events are even motivating for our leadership, as it reinforces our mission of equipping people with the building blocks they need to live a healthy life.

Success Rates at The District Recovery Community

Success Rates are one of the toughest metrics to accurately manage and track in our industry. A lot of providers simply don’t manage these metrics because they feel it is a waste of energy and resources. Not us. One of, if not the most, valuable metrics to gauge our effectiveness is our success rates because they show us that we have positively impacted lives.

Out of all the clients that successfully complete our program, these are the success statistics: 

  • 30 Days after treatment 85% still sober
  • 90 Days after treatment 76% still sober
  • 180 Days after treatment 90% still sober

These statistics are what keeps leadership at The District and our clients motivated to push forward in recovery. They tell us and our clients that recovery and a healthy life are possible if they are willing to put in the effort to create goals and reach them.

Giving Back to Our Community

We place great emphasis on our commitment to service work. The District Recovery Community fosters a tremendous partnership with The Midnight Mission, a local Non-Profit Organization dedicated to treating, housing, and rehabilitating the homeless in Los Angeles and combating mental health issues and substance addiction. We dedicate two days a month to helping those in need. This commitment helps our clients learn responsibility and most importantly, how great it can feel to help others in need. In efforts to enrich children’s lives, we also run toy drives and channel resources into other local 501(c)3’s that work directly with underprivileged children.
